Well-established (+30 years), highly respected commercial roofing contractor is seeking to add an experienced commercial roofing service manager. Under exceptional leadership, the company has grown to be one of the most reputable roofing contractors in the nation.
 
A pivotal role within the organization, the service manager is responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations, overseeing efficient call receipt, capturing proper work order data, invoicing & accounts receivable collection.
Qualifications:
 
  • Have a minimum of 1 years experience in commercial construction related work, preferably in the roofing industry. General knowledge of all company accounting, safety procedures, good communications and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers.
  • Negotiation skills and proper resolution skills.
  • Computer skills as needed to perform the above, including CRM & MS Office.
Salary: Commensurate upon experience. In the range of $60,000 to $90,000.
Benefits: 401k Match, 50% up to 6%

Additional Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
 
  • Assisting in service operations as necessary to create work orders, post billings, payroll, create and follow up on proposals.
  • Maintain the CRM and service accounting system to ensure that all data is current and properly organized. Make recommendations as required but an annual review is mandatory.
  • Research and gather data necessary to resolve customer disputes or customer concerns and questions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the service department.
  • Manage the service phone call system, including emergency after hours process and notify customers of schedules.
  • At least annually, compile and recommend crew performance data to management.
  • Work with accounting to ensure proper and timely billings and collections.
  • Build excellent customer relationships; through appropriate and consistent customer communication including site visits and other methods developed or determined to be effective. 
  • Develop service staff to meet company objectives. Hire and terminate as required.
